I’m Maria, and I’m delighted to share a bit about myself and my life here in the lovely town of Geneva, IL, where I get to enjoy the best of both the USA and my beloved Swedish roots. Growing up just a stone’s throw from Norrköping, Sweden—where the very first Wettex dishcloth was created—I’ve always had a special connection to these iconic cloths. They were a staple in my grandparents’ kitchen and a constant companion in my parents’ home as I was growing up.

When I moved to the U.S. six years ago—first to sunny Florida, then to the Midwest—I quickly realized how much I missed the Swedish dishcloth in my daily life. No other product seemed to measure up to its unbeatable qualities! So, I decided to bring these amazing cloths to the States, sharing them with family and friends so they could experience the superior absorption and effortless cleaning that these cloths provide. As a mom to three busy, messy daughters, I can tell you, these dishcloths have truly stood the test of time in my household.

I’m so excited to see that Swedish dishcloths are gaining popularity here in the U.S. and that more and more people are discovering just how fantastic and eco-friendly they are. After trying a few different brands, I can honestly say that nothing compares to the original Wettex (yes, there’s a recipe behind it!), which has been a trusted part of Swedish homes for over 70 years.
