Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I’m Maria, and I’m so happy you’re here. I live in the lovely town of Geneva, IL, where I get to enjoy the best of both worlds — life in the U.S. and my cherished Swedish roots.

I grew up just outside Norrköping, Sweden, where the original Wettex dishcloth was invented. These iconic cloths were always around — in my grandparents’ kitchen, my parents’ home, and later, my own.

When I moved to the U.S. six years ago — first to sunny Florida, then to the Midwest — I quickly realized how much I missed the Swedish dishcloth. Nothing else came close! So I started bringing them over to share with friends and family. As a mom to three busy (and messy!) daughters, I can tell you — these cloths really hold their own.

It’s so exciting to see Swedish dishcloths catching on here in the U.S. More and more people are discovering just how effective and eco-friendly they are. And after trying a few brands myself, I can say with confidence: nothing compares to the original Wettex. (Yes, there’s a recipe — and it makes all the difference!)
