Swedish Dishcloths: The Original Reusable Kitchen Cloth
Why Swedish Dishcloths Outperform Paper Towels and Sponges
A Swedish dishcloth is a reusable, machine-washable alternative to paper towels and sponges. One Swedish dishcloth typically replaces about 17 rolls of paper towels over its lifetime, then breaks down completely once it's worn out. Ours is the original Wettex Swedish dishcloth, made in Sweden since 1949 — not an imported imitation.

Made by a Swedish family, for American kitchens
Hi, I'm Maria. I grew up just outside Norrköping, Sweden — where the original Wettex dishcloth was invented — and it was always in my grandparents' kitchen, my parents' kitchen, and now mine. When I moved to the U.S., nothing else compared, so I started bringing them over myself. Today, Swedish Dishcloth Store is a family business run from Geneva, Illinois, built around the cloths I grew up with.
