The problem she set out to solve

Camilla Ljunggren was just 16 years old when she designed the Pluring, during a high school course in Young Entrepreneurship. The idea came from something she noticed every day at her family's country estate: a damp dishcloth hanging off the edge of the sink, never quite dry, never quite out of the way. She wanted a place for the cloth to hang that kept it elevated and out of sight, without needing a hook, a magnet, or a separate holder to install.

From a school project to a Swedish staple

What started as a class assignment turned into a genuine business. Camilla took the Pluring from a simple observation into a best-selling product, and today it's a staple in Swedish kitchens and a recognized example of Scandinavian design and functionality. She now runs a thriving family business with two manufacturing facilities in Stockholm, and her work has earned her recognition both nationally and internationally, including being named one of Europe's most promising young entrepreneurs.

How the push-in design works

The Pluring is a simple, sturdy hanger with a slot cut through the center. Push a folded dishcloth into the slot and it grips itself in place, held above the counter or sink instead of bunched up or draped over a faucet. Because the cloth hangs freely on all sides, it dries faster and stays fresher between uses. No suction cups, no adhesive, and nothing to mount on the wall.
